St. Anthony Gentle Servant of God Prayer:
O Holy St. Anthony, your love for God and Charity for His creatures made you worthy, when on earth to possess miraculous powers. Miracles waited on your word, which you were ever ready to speak for those in trouble or anxiety. Encouraged by this thought, I implore of you to obtain for me (mention request). The answer to my prayer may require a miracle, even so, you are the Saint of Miracles. O genital and loving St. Anthony, whose heart was ever full of human sympathy, whisper my petition into the ears of the Sweet Infant Jesus who loved to be folded in your arms, and the gratitude of my heart will be ever yours. Amen
Franciscan Morning Prayer:
Jesus Lord, I offer you this new day because I believe in you, love you, hope all things in you and thank you fro your blessings. I am sorry for having offended you and forgive everyone who has offended me. Lord, look on me and leave in me peace and courage and your humble wisdom that I may serve others with joy, and be pleasing to you all day. Amen
Kindness in Speech:
Loving God, may I always use my tongue as St. Anthony did, to praise your hallowed name and make you known among those I meet. Help me to avoid all cursing, lies and unkind words. Give me a tongue to speak in ways that will encourage others and show love for them. Amen
Prayer of St. Francis for Peace:
Dear Jesus, make me an instrument of your peace. Where there is hatred let me so love: where there is injury, pardon: where there is doubt , faith: where there is despair, hope: where there is darkness, light: and where there is sickness, joy.
O Divine Master grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood, as to understand; to be loved, as to love; for it is in giving that we receive: it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen
